This task was useful as it gave us an easy way to see how many shots were in the music video but also which locations are in the video for the longest amount of time. This is important as it makes it easy to work out what sections will require the most amount of time through the editing stages. The timeline is essentially a more visual version of our shotlist which is easier and quicker to refer to rather than the whole shot list.
The portfolio has purposeful research into influences on style, concept, image & genre demonstrating effective understanding. There is research into the size, age and subculture of the target audience identified. There is a some research into existing relevant campaigns applied to drafting of the digipack & website and there is clear development of the ideas. There is are detailed animatic storyboard, shot lists, a production schedule, asset list, costume and casting, location recces which demonstrate the production has been well planned. The groups time management of the production was excellent. Their blog has a clear sense of progression of research to ideas to planning, with good IT skills and a strong level of care in the presentation.
